Abarth 600e Discounted at €36,900: Better Than a Tesla Model Y?

With a sporty look and 240 horsepower, the newly launched Abarth 600e already benefits from a €4,000 discount.

The factories are not operating at full capacity currently within the Stellantis group, especially when it comes to electric cars. Thus, Abarth is not wasting time in commercially promoting its brand new 600e. A lively little SUV with 240 horsepower that shares its technical platform with the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce. Except that the latter has 280 horsepower, while the Abarth 600e in its base version is 40 horsepower less fierce.

Recall that the power is transmitted to the front wheels only, promising some nice handling effects when pushing the accelerator to the floor. Finally, the 600e Pack Scorpiossima version sees its power increase to 280 horsepower as well, but at a price €4,000 higher (€48,900 before eco-bonus and Abarth prime). If you like this version, its current price is €40,900 after all discounts and tax incentives.

What is the worth of the Abarth 600e?

Of course, the brain does its calculations and concludes that the Abarth 600e drops to €36,900 including taxes, which is the price of the Tesla Model Y Propulsion. A big player that is a perfect family car (extra-large trunks), with 300 horsepower and a mixed WLTP range of 430 km.

Opposite, Abarth emphasizes style extravagance more, as its size and features are much more modest. The standard color is Antidote White; other colors (black, orange, or green) cost an additional €850. The stunning 20-inch wheels are standard, as are the Sabelt bucket seats. Overall, it definitely has a lot of character.

With the “small” 54 kWh battery and a consumption of 19 kWh per 100 km (which is high), the range is 317 km in mixed cycle… roughly 250 km in real conditions. Ouch.
