750 km of range for a mysterious new DS

DS has decided to conceal not only its new creation but also the essential information about it!

Here is the little we managed to extract from the press release received this morning from DS. One figure above all, 750 as the announced range for this new model. But be cautious, you know very well that a range figure is absolutely meaningless without knowing the battery size, vehicle weight, charging technology,… In short, all these essential details that we are not able to provide.

This new creation is presented in camouflage that echoes the colors of the DS E-TENSE FE25 single-seater, which competes in the Formula E World Championship, a 100% electric motorsport. It’s immediately apparent that a lot of work has been done to maximize the aerodynamics of the model, which achieves an impressive Cx of 0.24. Aerodynamically optimized air intakes have been notably installed on the lower part of the front bumper to facilitate cooling without creating too much drag. Always in the pursuit of efficiency, the rear wings are sculpted while the three-dimensional lights feature a vertical signature to help streamline airflow.

A small nice detail, at a time when SUVs are being denounced, DS does not hesitate to talk about a line that goes beyond the concept of a coupe SUV, while retaining the DNA of SUV qualities. So, this is a fully committed electric SUV, and after all, there is no shame in wanting more interior space while driving in a higher, more secure position. But beware, let’s not produce a vehicle that weighs more than 2 tons!
