Since this morning, the documentary series Anatomie d’un come-back on Prime Video offers a unique immersive experience into the heart of Renault Group’s transformation. Facing a major crisis at the start of 2020, threatening its future, the company launched a bold recovery plan: the Renaulution. This colossal project aims simply to reinvent the manufacturer by breaking with the era of Carlos Ghosn. The episodes reveal behind-the-scenes of new model designs, such as the upcoming Renault 5, as well as secrets from Alpine F1 team paddocks. This dive highlights a human adventure full of challenges, where failures and successes intertwine.

And suddenly, a divine appearance!

But just when we expected a rather conventional series, we quickly get swept into a captivating adventure within a company with pachyderm-like inertia fighting for its survival. Beyond that, this documentary marks a small revolution with the revelation of a production vehicle on screen. And what a vehicle! In the fourth episode, Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, accompanied by Fabrice Cambolive and Gilles Vidal, the new head of design for the diamond-shaped brand, unveils the future Renault 5 Turbo 3E. This model, a fitting tribute to the legendary Renault 5 Turbo, will soon be in series production, forty-four years after the first version.

Inspired by the show-car presented at the 2022 Mondial de l’Auto, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E combines cutting-edge performance and bold design while fully respecting its ancestor’s spirit. Paying homage to the R5 Turbo and Turbo 2, its retro-futuristic style is enriched with sporting references, notably its livery evoking the legendary rally variants of the 1980s. Fully electric, it features modern elements such as a cleverly hidden charging port integrated into an rear scoop. Its carbon structure ensures lightness and rigidity, essential for an exceptional sports car.
