Tesla’s Cybertruck features a super high-speed mode!

Tesla has included a little-known Easter Egg in the Cybertruck’s programming to improve aerodynamics.

Yesterday, we told you about Tesla’s massive software recalls. Essentially, nearly a million vehicles can be repaired with a simple OTA update. In reality, it’s a bit more complex because a team of engineers works tirelessly to fix small issues in the cars. And occasionally, these engineers indulge in a little recreational activity! They can also use the same OTA update system to “pimp” the models a bit. There are very trivial features like the “Light Show” and more useful ones.

This more or less hidden feature, and by no means essential, is called “Aero Mode” and affects the positioning of the massively large windshield wiper to reduce its air resistance. It’s a bit like passing your hand through the window at high speed and switching from an inclined position to a flat one. It automatically activates at high speeds and helps reduce drag, which contributes to minimizing air resistance and can seriously improve the vehicle’s range.

This is just one of many Tesla features that go under the radar but have been developed by the company’s engineers to make the vehicles more efficient. Loss of range and combating drag during electric vehicle driving are always on the minds of engineers from any manufacturer. And if it also adds a bit of fun to the vehicle, everyone benefits.
