The new Tesla Model Y could arrive much sooner than expected!

If the Tesla France website still lists the first deliveries of the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive for May, it seems that things are stirring in Berlin.

The Giga Berlin is reportedly about to start production of the new version of the Model Y, code-named “Juniper”. The launch on production lines would occur just a few days after Tesla officially announced this update in China. Last Thursday, the brand showcased the latest version of its flagship electric SUV. Rumors had been circulating for some time, but everything was confirmed when the model was added to their online catalog. It’s worth noting that the leak of camouflage-free prototype photos probably sped up the process.

In China and across Asia-Pacific markets, such as Australia, two versions have been revealed: the Rear-Wheel Drive (Propulsion) and the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (Grande Autonomie Intégrale). An exclusive “Launch Series” edition, featuring premium materials and special finishes, has also appeared. Additionally, Tesla has added several improvements to the Full Self-Driving technology, such as an extra camera in the front bumper.

Of course, early launches sometimes lead to longer delivery times. But according to sources in Germany, production in Berlin is expected to begin today, Tuesday, January 14! This launch could well encourage recent buyers to upgrade to this new version and boost sales. It would help Tesla reach its ambitious goal of over two million deliveries in 2025.
