Lewis Hamilton Carefully Prepares for His Entry at Ferrari

It’s official, Sir Lewis Hamilton, seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, is a Ferrari driver.

The British driver took his first steps at Ferrari by visiting the legendary headquarters in Maranello, located at Enzo Ferrari 27. Then, he headed to the Fiorano circuit, where, under a gray sky and light rain reminiscent of his British origins, he was welcomed by Fred Vasseur, the team principal, and Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari’s CEO. There, in front of Enzo Ferrari’s house and on the square dedicated to Michael Schumacher, the only other seven-time world champion, Lewis posed for the traditional back-to-school photos. A personal touch: a Ferrari F40, his favorite supercar, was also present.

After a quick visit to Fiorano’s house where he toured Enzo Ferrari’s iconic office, Lewis returned to the Scuderia’s headquarters. The schedule included meetings with the leadership team, discussions with Piero Ferrari, and a busy day exploring each department to get acquainted with his new team. Tomorrow, technical meetings and briefings will take place to prepare for an intense season.

“There are days that mark a lifetime, and today, my first day as a Ferrari driver, is one of them,” said the new man in red. “I had the chance to achieve things I never imagined in my career, but a part of me has always dreamed of racing in red. This dream is finally coming true, and I am thrilled. I am incredibly grateful to John Elkann, Benedetto Vigna, Fred Vasseur, and the entire Ferrari team for their trust and for welcoming me into this family. I look forward to working with this talented and inspiring group of people. I will give my all to honor this team, the organization as a whole, and the fans.
