A Renault Megane for €135 a month, is it possible

The Renault Megane is no longer a young car, and attractive deals on stock models are starting to appear.

A Long-Term Rental (LTD) offer, whether from Renault or any other manufacturer, is only interesting when it strikes a good balance between affordable monthly payments and a reasonable down payment. It’s often on this last point that the issue lies: when the down payment represents a third of the vehicle’s value, the rental loses its appeal. With no more than 37 months, 10,000 km per year, maintenance and assistance included, and a free charging station, you can go for it.

We found a Renault Megane Equilibre 130 Urban Range in Fresnes that checks all the boxes, and while not exceptional, remains very satisfactory. This is made possible thanks to an ecological bonus of 2,000 euros, which allows monthly payments of 135 euros while limiting the down payment to 7,500 euros, or 25% of the cash value. This demonstrator vehicle has only 10,000 km, which is negligible at this level. Let’s also note the transparency of this Renault offer: no hidden trade-in conditions and especially no application of the increased bonus! The latter can go up to 4,000 euros under income conditions, but it’s not automatically applied. It’s simple, clear, and precise, unlike what we sometimes see with other brands, particularly those in the Stellantis group (but we’ve already vented enough about that). Thank you, Renault!

We know the Megane well, and its “urban autonomy” version with 300 km range is not our favorite. But at such a price, it’s hard to dismiss outright. For daily family use, it is a choice that is not without interest.
