New record for Rétromobile!

In an era of declining auto shows, Rétromobile, the grand gathering of collector and exceptional automobiles, sets a new attendance record.

After five days of excitement, Rétromobile 2025 bid farewell on Sunday, February 9th. This 49th edition once again delighted classic car enthusiasts by presenting an exceptional selection of vintage vehicles. Early reports following its closure highlight its growing success.

With 146,000 visitors, Rétromobile 2025 records a 12% increase compared to 2024. This figure confirms the enduring appeal of historic vehicles among French and international enthusiasts, solidifying the show’s status as a reference event at both national and international levels. “What an edition! This will go down in history as the record-breaking edition”, declared Romain Grabowski, the show’s director. He praised the rich and diverse content this year, capable of attracting a wide audience united by their shared passion.

Rétromobile appeals from ages 7 to 97

The event also attracted a significant number of young visitors, a sign of the show’s ability to adapt to new generations and ensure the transmission of automotive heritage. As proof, many manufacturers chose it as a media showcase for their new electric models.

Building on this success, Rétromobile now plans to expand beyond French borders. In 2026, the show will debut in the United States with its first edition called “Rétromobile USA”. This event is scheduled from November 19 to 22, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York. To ensure its successful establishment on the American continent, Rétromobile has appointed Gérard Neveu, the former head of the World Endurance Championship, to lead the project, and has partnered with DuPont Registry Group, a luxury automobile specialist.

The international expansion of Rétromobile illustrates its ambition to become a global showcase for collectible cars. This new chapter promises to further enhance the show’s prestige while reaching a broader audience. With this project, Rétromobile 2025 marks a turning point in the history of this iconic event.
