The custom collection “Inspired by China” by Bentley Mulliner pays homage to Chinese culture and timeless elegance

Bentley Mulliner, the prestigious bespoke atelier of the British manufacturer, unveils a series of exclusive collections titled “Inspired by China”. Composed of eight unique creations, this series celebrates the richness of Chinese culture through symbolic themes, vibrant colors, and exceptional craftsmanship. The Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB), Flying Spur, and Continental GT models serve as canvases for these automotive artworks, exclusively for the Chinese market.

Each collection is imbued with deep symbolism, with meticulous attention to detail. Whether it’s the number of claws on a embroidered dragon or the direction in which koi carp swim, every element has been carefully designed to represent Chinese culture and beliefs.

The Koi Carp: Symbol of Courage and Success

The koi carp, a symbol of luck and perseverance in Chinese culture, inspires the collection dedicated to the Bentayga EWB. The spacious interior blends Beluga black and Mandarin orange in a bold contrast, while six koi, a lucky number in China, adorn the seats and woodwork. Wavy patterns evoke the ripples of a pond, and gold accents on badges and finishes highlight wealth and prosperity.

Bentley Blends into Legendary Landscapes

The Flying Spur Azure pays tribute to the famous painting “River and Mountain Scene” by Wang Ximeng, a masterpiece of the Song Dynasty. The shades of blue and green from this artwork are found in the embroidery and inlay work, recreating harmony between humans and nature.

Ru Yi: Prosperity and Wishes Fulfilled

The “Ru Yi” collection draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese scepter, a symbol of good fortune and fulfilled wishes. Golden embroidery, silver inlays, and cloud motifs decorate the interior, reflecting elegance and spirituality.

Featuring themes such as pandas, dragons, and dancing lions, Mulliner demonstrates its artistry in elevating Chinese symbols into unique creations. Everyone will be free to judge their refinement.
