Hyundai unveils the INSTEROID, an electric concept car with a bodybuilded design inspired by video games.

Hyundai surprises with the INSTEROID, a bold and playful concept car designed to attract and astonish. This unprecedented design reimagines the compact electric model INSTER, the latest small electric SUV from the brand, in a sporty and extravagant interpretation aimed at strengthening customers’ emotional attachment to Hyundai.

The name INSTEROID combines “INSTER” and “STEROID,” reflecting its young, energetic, and muscular character. Since its global launch in June 2024, the INSTER has found its place, especially in Europe and Korea. With the INSTEROID, Hyundai pushes the boundaries of innovation and creativity even further by offering a car that transcends traditional norms.

The first images of the concept reveal a surprising design, inspired by the universe of video games. Unique details, such as air vents at the wheel arches, 21-inch rims, and an imposing rear wing coupled with a diffuser, emphasize its sporty character. Hyundai’s iconic Pixel LED lights complete its futuristic aesthetic.

But the INSTEROID is not just a style exercise. Every element, from the dashboard controls to the brakes, has been designed to provide a playful and immersive experience. The concept embodies a bold vision where automotive engineering meets virtual racing aesthetics, giving birth to a car that looks like it came from a digital circuit.

A true showcase of Hyundai’s design team’s expertise, the INSTEROID stands out as an exhilarating “anomaly” in the automotive world, blurring the lines between imagination and reality. Hyundai Motor plans to officially unveil this unique concept to the public in early April 2025.
