Audi and its unwavering faith in the Diesel estate car

While Audi has firmly stepped into the electric realm with the exceptional e-tron range, long-distance drivers remain dear to its ringed heart.

Since 1977, the name Avant has been synonymous with station wagons at Audi, featuring superior functionality and exceptional driving dynamics. Forty-eight years after the launch of the Audi 100 Avant, the A6 Avant opens a new era. Developed on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), it is equipped with a modern diesel engine and enhanced MHEV light hybrid technology, combining performance and efficiency.

The Audi A6 Avant sports a dynamic design characterized by a long wheelbase, sculpted lines, and a low-positioned Singleframe. The standard air intakes and Matrix LED headlights accentuate its sporty appearance. The second-generation OLED taillights add a high-tech touch with customizable and interactive light signatures, enhancing both safety and aesthetics.

With a drag coefficient of 0.25, the new A6 Avant sets a benchmark for combustion engine vehicles. Aerodynamic optimization includes specific panels, a wide diffuser, and wheels ranging from 18 to 21 inches, while maintaining a controlled weight. Moreover, improved acoustic insulation ensures a quiet cabin, conducive to comfort on long trips.

Hybrid Diesel for Long-Distance Drivers

The MHEV plus technology, combined with a 48-volt system, offers partially electric driving functions, enhanced energy recovery, and assistance to the combustion engine. With a power output of 204 hp and reduced emissions (152-131 g/km of CO2), the 2.0 TDI engine combines agility and efficiency.

With an increased length of 4.99 meters and a wheelbase of 2.93 meters, the A6 Avant provides generous interior space. The panoramic glass roof enhances this impression, while the trunk capacity of 466 to 1,497 liters adapts to users’ needs with its foldable seats and storage solutions.

Audi offers a wide range of customization options, including exclusive colors, varied wheels, and unique lighting configurations. The S line trim adds a sporty touch with standard 19-inch wheels.

Orders for the new Audi A6 Avant are now open. This 2.0 TDI (fuel consumption in l/100 km: 5.8-5.0; combined CO₂ emissions in g/km: 152-131) with MHEV plus technology will start from 70,550 euros. The first vehicles will be delivered to customers by the end of May 2025.
