Glickenhaus Brings the Fury of the 24 Hours of Le Mans to Public Roads

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, an ambitious and passionate independent manufacturer, unveils the culmination of a dream, the SCG 007s.

This is a road-legal hypercar, directly derived from the Glickenhaus SCG 007 LMH that has challenged the greatest endurance circuits, from Monza to Spa and Le Mans. Presented with great fanfare at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, this extreme creation aims to combine the brutality of motorsport with a certain road versatility. And the gamble seems to have paid off.

At the heart of the SCG 007s beats a 6.2-liter twin-turbo V8, developing 1,000 horsepower and 999 Nm of torque, transmitted to the rear wheels only via a 7-speed automated gearbox. Weighing just 1,550 kg, barely more than a Toyota Supra but with nearly three times the power, the technical specifications are dizzying.

Inspired by endurance technologies, the 007s adopts a rear pushrod suspension, double wishbones at the front, adjustable anti-roll bars, and an integrated pneumatic jack system, ideal for quick tire changes like a pit stop. Its aerodynamics, nearly unchanged from the LMH prototype, features an imposing splitter, a rear haster, and a gigantic rear wing, ensuring maximum downforce.

Designed for the road, thought for the driver

But this track beast has also been designed for everyday asphalt. It features hydraulic doors, a nose-lifting system to navigate over speed bumps, and even air conditioning. The spartan but functional interior welcomes the driver in a central position, flanked by two passengers, in a cabin inspired by the legendary McLaren F1.

The SCG 007s is not just a civilized race car. It is a project conceived from the start to combine the intensity of motorsport with the exclusivity of a road-legal hypercar. No price has been revealed yet, but there is no doubt that only a few lucky individuals will have the chance to own one.

With the SCG 007s, Glickenhaus redefines the contours of the modern hypercar: radical, pure, uncompromising, a mechanical manifesto on four wheels.
