Alpine is about to write a new chapter in its history as this highly symbolic launch signifies much more than just a model presentation. It represents a significant strategic shift for the French manufacturer, on the eve of its 70th anniversary.

Founded in 1955 by Jean Rédélé, Alpine established itself from the outset as an emblem of French sportiness. Its flagship model, the A110, quickly became legendary thanks to notable achievements in rallying, culminating in a historic victory at the World Rally Championship in 1973. After a long hiatus, the brand was reborn in 2017 with a new A110, elegantly combining retro style and contemporary technology.

This revival marks the starting point of an ambitious renewal. With its “Dream Garage” strategy, Alpine is preparing a range of three visionary electric vehicles aimed at redefining the sports mobility of tomorrow. The A290, an electric sporty city car akin to the Renault 5, was the first act. The A390 is the second, and likely the boldest.

Presented in the form of a concept car, the A390_β, at the Paris Motor Show in October 2024, this 100% electric fastback SUV has generated a real buzz. Its assertive design, unprecedented positioning for the brand, and technological ambitions make it a pivotal model. Far from renouncing its sporty DNA, Alpine reinterprets it through a five-seat family vehicle, where electric performance, innovation, and style come together without compromise.

Dieppe, a cornerstone and springboard into the future for Alpine

The choice of Dieppe for the official unveiling of the A390 is not coincidental. It is in this Norman city that Alpine was born, and it continues to write its story there. The model will also be assembled at the Manufacture Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé, now dedicated to future projects. This return to its roots embodies the brand’s commitment to staying true to its origins while asserting a clear vision for the future.

The unveiling of the A390 will precede a major event: the gathering celebrating Alpine’s 70th anniversary, which will take place in Dieppe from May 30 to June 1, 2025. A perfect opportunity to celebrate the past while revealing the outlines of an ambitious and passionate electric future.
