8 Years Warranty for All Citroën, Fiat, Opel, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, DS, and Lancia

Stellantis extends the warranty for vehicles of its brands sold in France up to 8 years or 160,000 km.

Stellantis France has announced the launch of a new extended warranty program, free of charge and applicable to all its brands. This program is aimed at all customers who adhere to the regular maintenance schedule in authorized workshops of the official network.

The warranty can last up to a maximum of 8 years or 160,000 kilometers. It covers both passenger cars and commercial vehicles, regardless of whether they are gasoline, hybrid, or electric. The only condition to benefit from it is to carry out the scheduled maintenance in an authorized Stellantis workshop. No additional administrative steps are required.

This warranty extension comes into effect for all orders placed starting from June 1, 2025. All brands of the group are involved, divided into two levels of coverage:

• Standard: Abarth, Citroën, Fiat, Jeep, Opel, Peugeot.
• Premium: Alfa Romeo, DS Automobiles, Lancia. This version additionally includes infotainment, roadside assistance, and a courtesy vehicle.

In addition to this free warranty, Stellantis offers a range of additional maintenance contracts. This program aims to reassure customers about the reliability of vehicles after the Takata, Puretech, and AdBlue scandals. It is unclear how much this will cost Stellantis, but it will be less than repeated recalls and lawsuits.

In case of resale, the extended warranty can be transferred to the new owner, provided that maintenance has been properly followed. This helps maintain a high residual value for the vehicle in the used car market, a sector on which Stellantis relies heavily to boost its revenue.
