Ford slashes the price of its Mustang Mach-E by €20,000
This page is translated from the original post "Ford fracasse de 20 000 € le prix de son Mustang Mach-E" in French.

The competition in the sporty electric SUV segment is getting stronger, and Ford has no choice but to discount its Mustang.
Tired of your neighbor’s Tesla Model Y on the right… and your neighbor on the left? And the one across the street? All white, by the way, because they are cheaper? There are very relevant alternatives available, including in the atypical sports vehicle segment. Ford was the first to launch with its astonishing Mustang Mach-E. Astonishing because it borrowed a legendary name that had always been associated with a 2-door coupe powered by a large V8 engine.
Now, the Mustang Mach-E is an electric SUV with a very successful design and first-rate performance. Sales in the USA are holding up very well, to the point that the American manufacturer continues to improve it every year. This is not without causing some issues for salespeople…

Unsellable models?
This succession of updates indeed has a downside: the models dated 2023 or 2024 are perceived as “has been” and therefore have difficulty selling. Customers always seek the latest novelty, even more so with an electric vehicle where advancements are continual.
Thus, it’s revealed on the Ford France website that the Mustang Mach-E dated 2023 is discounted – hold on tight! – by 16,000 to 20,000 euros! Thus, there’s a GT version with 487 horsepower (358 kW), all-wheel drive, and 860 Nm of torque. Let’s just say it packs a punch! With its useful 88 kWh battery, it offers up to 490 km of range in mixed driving conditions but cannot charge at more than 150 kW. This is its only weak point if you consider it as a Grand Tourisme. A Mercedes Class A can charge at 300 kW, making stops half as short. The same goes for a Porsche Macan or up to 250 kW for a Tesla Model Y Performance (previous generation).
With the discount, this Ford Mustang Mach-E GT drops to 61,990 euros. There’s also another example that might be even more interesting: an Extended Range RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) version with power reduced to 294 horsepower (216 kW) but still retains the large 88 kWh battery. Here, the range increases to 600 km… and the price drops to 49,790 euros.
Other 2024 models are offered, with discounts falling to “only” 8,000 euros, giving an entry price of 44,990 euros. Lastly, it should be noted that in all cases, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is excluded from the ecological bonus scheme as its production is based in North America (Mexico).
Take a look at it nonetheless…
