MotoGP: Which BMW will be awarded to the top poleman in 2025?

Partner of the MotoGP since 1999, BMW offers a car each season to the top performer in qualifications. Here is the one for 2025.

Don’t be mistaken! MotoGP riders love sports cars, especially the one awarded at the end of each season by BMW to the rider with the most pole positions. This competition within a competition is called the BMW M Award.

This “trophy” on four wheels has been awarded since 2003, while the partnership between BMW and MotoGP has existed since 1999. That’s already 26 years of incredible loyalty… between a car manufacturer and a motorcycle brand not engaged in the premier category.

The concept of the BMW M Award is simple: after each qualification, points are awarded to the riders, and the one who has accumulated the most by the end of the last qualification of the season will win. During the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen, Brad Binder and Alex Rins were tasked with unveiling the M model chosen for the year 2025.

A gift worth 125,000 euros!

The model in question is a M2 CS in a metallic Velvet Blue color, valued at 124,850 euros in France… before an ecological penalty of 70,000 euros. With a 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine producing 530 horsepower, the performance is superb. The rear-wheel drive is managed by a dual-clutch transmission, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 3.8 seconds.

The BMW M2 CS will be awarded in Valencia (Spain), most likely to Marc Marquez. The Ducati rider is currently leading this BMW M Award competition with already 6 pole positions secured in 2025. The Spaniard is ahead of Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), who has 4 poles.

Marc Marquez already has a nice BMW garage as he holds the record for the trophy, with 7 consecutive Awards from 2013 to 2019. In the last three seasons, it has been Marquez’s teammate, Francesco Bagnaia, who has taken the prize.
