Skoda returns for a 22nd Tour de France

Major Partner of the Tour de France for the 22nd consecutive year, Skoda sets off for a loop on the most beautiful roads of France.

On the occasion of this 112th edition, the Czech manufacturer will provide a fleet of nearly 225 assistance vehicles, exclusively made up of 100% electric and plug-in hybrid models. Among them, the new Skoda Enyaq and the Superb iV will play the strategic role of the “red car,” dedicated to race director Christian Prudhomme.

This loyalty to the cycling event, which began in 2004, has greatly contributed to establishing Skoda in the collective consciousness of Tour enthusiasts. With its visible presence, its support vehicles, its promotional caravan, and its sponsorship of the green jersey, the brand is now inseparable from the event. This connection is even stronger as it is intertwined with the very history of Skoda, founded in 1895 as a bicycle manufacturer.

On the occasion of its 130th anniversary, Skoda will offer several initiatives around the race. The trophies awarded to the winners of the various classifications (general, points, best climber, best young rider) will feature a special logo commemorating this anniversary. Two models will also be on display: the Elroq Respectline, which is part of the caravan, and the L&K 130, a car designed by students from the Skoda Academy.

Throughout the event, the WeLoveCycling platform will allow followers to experience the behind-the-scenes action of the race and participate in activities. A contest will even allow a few lucky individuals to attend the finish in Paris from a Skoda car and ride along the Champs-Élysées.

A discreet yet constant brand, Skoda has successfully capitalized on its faithful presence at the Tour to anchor its image in a popular and demanding universe while accompanying its evolution towards more sustainable mobility.
