Uncontested best-seller from Renault for 35 years, the Clio is preparing to write a new chapter in its history.

The sixth generation of the iconic Clio will be unveiled for the first time worldwide on Monday, September 8 at 5:30 PM, in Munich, alongside the auto show. The press conference, broadcast live and then available for replay, will mark a key moment for the diamond brand, which continues to bet on its flagship model.

A Clio saga born in 1990

First introduced in 1990, the Clio quickly established itself as the rightful heir to the Renault 5. Named Car of the Year in 1991, it won over millions of motorists thanks to its value for money, versatility, and modern design.

Each generation has left its mark: the Clio II (1998) was distinguished by its robustness, the Clio III (2005) made significant strides in comfort and safety, while the Clio IV (2012) introduced a bolder style and enhanced connectivity. The Clio V, launched in 2019, solidified its status as a reference in the city car segment with its hybrid engines. In 2025, the Clio remains at the top: 130,500 units sold in the first half make it the best-selling model in Europe.
